Where Things Were
Thailand/Canada, 2014-ongoing [in production]
4K video with 5.1 surround sound

Provoked by each’s return to Bangkok ten years apart, two sisters revisit their estranged upbringing in the city. During the 10-year gap, the man who drove them to school has a daughter who he wants to learn English; and their family home is renovated to house a Michelin-rated restaurant. A meditation on coming-of-age in the flux of globalisation and its disparities.

A collaboration with Melisande McLaughlin and Prachak Khongsudee.
